Welcome to the European Iron Club 2025 in Innsbruck!
Dear colleagues, researchers and friends,
With great pleasure, we cordially invite you to the 2025 annual meeting of the European Iron Club, which will take place on December 4th–5th, 2025 in Innsbruck, Austria.
This year’s meeting will continue the tradition of our scientific society to foster professional exchange in a collegial and collaborative setting with equal opportunities for young, emerging and established researchers in the broad field of biomedical iron research. The 2025 edition will place a special emphasis on two key topics at the intersection of basic and clinical iron research: 1: iron deficiency, its consequences and treatment; and 2: diagnosis, mechanisms and clinical endpoints of iron overload. Within these topics there will be a special focus on iron and bone health, and a thematic debate on iron in heart failure.
The European Iron Club has a longstanding tradition of bringing together experts and emerging scientists dedicated to advancing our understanding of iron metabolism, encourage new collaborations, and bridge gaps between insights from basic research and patient care. At this year’s meeting panel discussions on how and when to diagnose hemochromatosis, endpoints in clinical hemochromatosis trials and bone, iron and phosphate will be organized. In the light of these topics, patients, patient representatives and representatives from industry are equally welcome to contribute their views in exchange and discussions.
Set against the backdrop of the Tyrolean Alps, the congress will feature keynote lectures, selected oral and poster presentations, and ample opportunities for informal exchange.
Whether you are a patient, clinician, a basic or translational scientist, representative from industry or healthcare professional, we warmly invite you to join us in Innsbruck for two days of science, dialogue, and discovery.
We look forward to welcoming you!
Warm regards,
The Organizing Committee
